We would love to work together with you!
“Working with commission orders to create something very specific for each client plays a significant part in my jewelry practice. I love to read each inquiry and take the time to walk clients through the design process. We are individual, unique people - so too is our jewelry. Whether it is a special gift for a wedding anniversary, birthday, a push gift, or just a gift for ourselves, jewelry carries our personal stories, memory, and identity. Each commission piece has its own behind-the-scenes story, which makes me love what I do.” ---Baiyang Qiu
Commissioning a design ranges from customization of our Baiyang Jewelry collection to creating unique one-of-a-kind jewelry works. In essence, you work directly with the Baiyang Jewelry team to bring your dream to life.
How to get started?
If you haven’t done so already, please fill out the Commission Inquiry Form. This will provide us with the initial details and ideas to create your custom piece. It could be simple words such as “a unique gem ring” or a quick drawing you put on a post-it. It really is just a way to start the conversation - please feel free to email us any ideas.
Let's talk more……
Once the Commission Inquiry Form is received we will send a follow-up email within 24 hours. The purpose of this email is for us to schedule a consultation, either via telephone or in-person (if you’re local to the San José, California area). The call should take approximately 20 minutes and the in-person meeting takes roughly 30 minutes. The consultation helps us get to know you better -- we work through design ideas and develop details that fit your vision. When the meeting is concluded, you will have a strong understanding of the timeline, budget, and payment details and we will have the details needed to create the perfect piece for you.
After the consultation, we begin drafting your design. A written contract will be sent to you within a few days via email. Along with the contract, you will receive specific details of your project including your final design, estimated cost, and a completion timeline.
A non-refundable 50% deposit is due with the signed contract. This will guarantee your place in line for your custom-made piece. Our studio is very busy and we normally have projects booked 3 - 4 months in advance. The completion timeline outlined in your contract begins upon receipt of your deposit.
If there are any large gemstones needed for the design, we will carefully source the perfect gemstone for you. Once the gem is selected by you, it will need to be paid in full.
A Dream Piece in the Making
As each custom piece is so unique, the completion timeline can vary. We work closely together with you and will show you all the important steps during the making process through email. The remaining 50% payment will be collected upon the completion of the jewelry.
We have clients from across the United States and truly enjoy working closely with individuals to create their dream pieces. Please check out some of the Commission Pieces we have created, along with reviews from our happy customers.
